Breed: Cane Corso mix?
Sex: Male
Age: 6 years approx
Size: Large
Color: Black and white
Coat: Smooth
Notes: Roscoe, 6 year old Cane Corso mix. Big sweet baby who just wants his blankie.
Roscoe made it through his tumor removal and neuter surgery like a champ. He is such a good boy for his bandage changes and is already getting used to being in a crate during recovery. We want to spoil this boy so badly since we received some not-so-good news from the vet: The tumor was much deeper into the muscle than anticipated, and probably the angriest tumor any of us have ever seen. The vet suspects a malignant melanoma, and there is a strong chance it could come back. Only time will tell at this point. We would still love to have Roscoe go to a foster so he can learn what a couch is, and so that he can get used to being a spoiled house dog. Or we would love for him to be adopted into a family that understands that he may not have much time left. He is an amazing dog that deserves all the love and treats in the world. State law requires that anyone adopting a shelter animal must have it spayed/neutered within 30 days of leaving the shelter. Virginia law requires that a sterilization agreement be signed. This agreement states that you will have the adopted animal sterilized within 30 days or by 6 months of age. If you do not live in a surrounding county, the dog or cat will have to be sterilized before it leaves our facility. All our animals come with a microchip and 30 day free trial of pet insurance. All puppies will have been started on vaccines and dewormed, and some of the older dogs have as well, depending on the situation.
